After travel in Alaska I flew back to Vancouber and then travelled by coach from Vancouver to Whistler and enjoyed 2 hours of stunning landscape.
Whistler was as magical as I had imagined, just like something out of a movie, the Westin Resort and Spa is in an awesome location, right next to the ski lifts. It has a really great atmosphere & no shortage of Aussies! They have an indoor/outdoor pool. Beds are heavenly & every room has a kitchen in it. Stove, dishwasher & full size fridge – the lot. They have a few options to interconnect with a 1 bedroom which would be brilliant for families. We were able to go up the mountain gondola as far as Blackcomb – but weather stopped us from going any further across.
Vancouver: We stayed at The Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, which is the pre tour hotel for all APT guests. It is in a brilliant location right across from where the ship docks and easy to walk over to do a spot of shopping. The rooms are very nice modern.
The Capilano Suspension bridge was brilliant, we did the fast version of the treetop tour. Stunning scenery. There is a new “Zip-line” flying fox which is named as the highest in North America.
