Disneyland is a truly exciting and unforgettable holiday. From the moment you enter the Disney Resort Parks you are immersed in the world of magic and imagination.
Whether it’s meeting your favourite Disney characters, riding in Tea Cups at The Mad Hatters Party, joining Buzz Lightyear in a laser battle against the evil Zurg, Splash Mountain’s hilarious (and wet) log ride, or Space Mountains exhilarating roller coaster through blackness- there are highlights and delights everywhere you turn!
You can enjoy the magic of Disneyland at any age. I must say though, if you have the opportunity to take your family, especially while the kids are young- DO IT! The squeals of delight and pure joy experienced by my children (6 & 7 years old at the time) is a memory I will treasure forever.
There are many tips that can make your Disney experience even more enjoyable: the best months to travel, where to stay, items to take, ride height restrictions, and front of queue options that will enhance and streamline the whole experience so be sure to get advice from an experienced travel agent!
We bought a 3 day Hopper Pass which allowed us to go between Disneyland and California Adventure Park each day. We ended up buying an additional days pass because we were having too much fun!
Universal Studios and Knotts Berry Farm are fabulous and unique in their own way so be sure to allow time to spend a day at each of them also. A rest day or two thrown in there won’t hurt either because all this fun is exhausting!
We flew United Airlines Premium Economy class from Sydney to LA. These seats are so worth the extra money for the extra room and to be towards the front of the plane!
We stayed at Anaheim Marriott Suites in a King Suite which has a separate lounge and bedroom. It was a nice hotel in a good location. There was a café downstairs which had healthy snacks like fruit salad, yoghurt, muffins etc which was great for a quick breakie before hitting the theme Parks. There were restaurants and even a supermarket nearby for meals and supplies.
